1. Single Wound

Also named as singlewound, flat, single layer polyolefin shrink film. Single wound shrink film is wound onto a single roll with one layer of film wound directly on top of another. It is typically used with shrink wrapping machines that require singlewound film types, such as ULMA wrapping machines.

2. Centerfolded

Also named as center fold, folded polyolefin shrink film. Centerfold shrink film is folded in half along its length, creating a “centerfold” or “C-fold” configuration. It is used with shrink wrapping machines such as L-sealers and side sealers.

3. Perforated

Perforations in polyolefin shrink films serve the purpose of allowing air to escape during the shrink wrapping process. When the film is heated, it shrinks tightly around the product being packaged. Without perforations, air trapped inside the package could cause issues such as uneven shrinkage, distortion, or even damage to the product. For egg shrink packaging, the perforation comes in two types: cold perforation or hot needle perforation.
